CFP 2013 Ol3Media

For the next issue of the Ol3Media e-journal we are seeking short papers about Stardom in cinema, TV, web and music, from the past or the present.
The issue wants to explore the topic, both offering an overview and studying the meaning of “the star” for the audiovisual industry, from the point of view of production and of the commercial side. Papers could be about actors and actresses, singers, directors, producers.

We are accepting monographic papers or cross-connected papers that touch several characters and themes.

Outside the theatre: private life of the star through the media. 

Selected essays will be published in the 2013 issue of Ol3Media, online in September. Proposals, along with a brief biography of the author (5/6 lines), must be received by 30 April 2013 while accepted papers must be completed and sent by 31 July 2013 for the necessary editing. Essays will be accepted either in English or in Italian. If English is not your mother tongue, please make sure the language is correct.
The length of the essays should be between 2,000 and 3,000 words. We welcome hyperlinks to other sites, videos, photos. Jpg images of the maximum size of 200 kb can be sent for inclusion in the essay. Any further information will be sent to the authors of the selected essays.

CFP Ol3Media 2013: Media Stardom

Per il prossimo numero l’e-journal Ol3Media cerca saggi sul tema delle star del cinema, della tv, del web e della musica, del presente o del passato.
Il volume vuole offrire una panoramica sul significato della star per l’industria cinetelevisiva, andando ad indagare sull’idea produttiva e commerciale, su quella estetica e su quella autoriale. Si può trattare di attori e attrici, cantanti, ma anche di registi o produttori che hanno imposto la loro figura in maniera riconoscibile e personale. Figure che vanno oltre il loro ruolo istituzionale. Attori che rimangono legati ad un particolare personaggio o registi legati ad un particolare genere.
Sono ben accetti saggi monografici o trasversali che tocchino più personaggi e temi contemporaneamente.

I saggi scelti saranno pubblicati nel numero del 2013 di Ol3Media, online in autunno, disponibile in pdf e in formato ottimizzato per IPad su ITunes. Le proposte, unitamente ad una breve biografia dell’autore (5/6 righe), dovranno pervenire entro il 30 aprile 2013 mentre i saggi accettati dovranno essere conclusi ed inviati entro il 31 luglio 2013 per l’editing necessario. I saggi possono essere in italiano o in inglese. Se l’inglese non è la lingua madre dell’autore, si chiede la cortesia di accertarsi che il saggio proposto sia scritto in un inglese corretto.
La lunghezza dei saggi dovrà essere intorno alle 2000/3000 parole. Sono graditi collegamenti ipertestuali a altri siti, video, foto. Immagini jpg della grandezza massima di 200 kb possono essere inviate per l’inserimento nel saggio. Eventuali ulteriori indicazioni verranno inviate agli autori dei saggi scelti.
